Pitt, CU to get visits from Goosby

One of the top safety prospects in the state of Texas is Joseph Goosby of Houston Jersey Village and he has the scholarship offers to prove it.
“I’ve got offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Texas Christian, North Carolina and a few others that I can’t remember,” Goosby, who is ranked as a 5.3 on the Rivals Rating scale, said. “I’ve gotten calls so far from Pittsburgh, Missouri, Colorado, Arkansas, TCU, North Texas, Baylor, North Carolina and Wisconsin.”

Goosby said when it comes to recruiting he does have a top five.
“Pittsburgh, Colorado, Missouri, North Carolina and Wisconsin are my top five,” Goosby, who is 6-foot-1 and 205-pounds, said. “I will visit Pittsburgh and Colorado for sure. I’m not worried about distance since I grew up in Virginia originally. The main thing I’m looking at is how many people they’re recruiting at my position.”
Goosby has helped his team off to a 1-1 start on the season. He recorded eight tackles in a 40-9 loss last week to Katy. He’s hoping to rebound this week with a win over Clear Lake.
“I know they run the option quite a bit,” he said. “That means I’ll have a chance to make a lot of tackles.”
