Pitt adds LB help

The Pitt Panthers are starting a pipeline of sorts to Lynchburg (Va.) Lynchburg Christian Academy. First, fullback Rashad Jennings committed to Walt Harris and company and now a linebacker has accepted an offer.
"Tyler committed to Pitt this weekend on his official visit," said head coach Wayne Lance of linebacker Tyler Tipton. "He was hoping to earn and offer and really enjoyed his visit. Rashad told him a bunch of good things about Pitt, but to see for himself was important."

Tipton can play either linebacker or fullback and will be utilized at Pitt where he best fits.
"At first they seemed to want him at linebacker and Rashad at fullback but lately it's been the opposite," said Lance. "They are both versatile and can contribute in many ways."
As a senior, Tipton rushed for 451 yards and five touchdowns on offense while making 118 tackles (19 for a loss) on defense.
