Pipp becoming familiar with MSU

Greendale, Wisc., 2016 linebacker Tristian Pipp is making the rounds at college campuses, and one of the schools he has visited most often is Michigan State.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Pipp attended a Michigan State camp over the summer, and was back to see a home game in East Lansing this fall. His most recent visit came just two weekends ago.

"They called it their 'Spartan Junior Day,'" Pipp said. "It was a really good visit. We talked quite a bit and there are definitely levels of interest on both sides. I got to meet the defensive coordinator, linebackers coach and I talked with my recruiter (Brad Salem) a lot about campus life. They want me to come back in the spring."
Pipp did not come into the recruiting process with any connections to Michigan State, but his interest in their program has grown with each visit.
"What really appeals to me is the camaraderie that comes with the school," Pipp said. "It's like everyone is out there for each other and no matter what they all try to make each other better. That's including students and athletes there, which I though was really impressive."
A three-star prospect ranked as the No. 36 outside linebacker prospect in the 2016 class, Pipp also made game visits to Iowa State, Nebraska, Purdue and Wisconsin this past season.
"I got a really good vibe from Nebraska," Pipp said. "The people there are very wholesome and it was a good experience."
With college coaches on the road during December, Pipp said he saw Northwestern's defensive coordinator and an assistant from Wyoming through his school this month.
The schools recruiting Pipp are looking at him for both the inside and outside linebacker positions and he awaits his first offer.
Upon finishing his junior season, Pipp was named his conference's Defensive Player of the Year. He totaled 137 total tackles, four forced fumbles and two interceptions this pas fall.
