Pipho talks official visit plans

Laporte City, Iowa three star ranked offensive line prospect Matt Pipho (6-foot-7, 255 pounds) and Union High School is off to an impressive 3-0 start this season.

“My season has been going pretty well so far," Matt Pipho said. “So far we are 3-0 and I feel that I've been playing decent."

Pipho has also been receiving a steady stream of calls in September.

"I'm hearing from Iowa, Iowa State, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Oregon on a weekly basis. The coaches all are looking for my early senior tape, so I've sent out my first game to all of those schools late last week."

Pipho, who has offers from Stanford and Iowa State, is also planning to set official visits shortly to both schools.

"I haven't set anything up yet officially, but I've been talking to the coaches from both Iowa State and Stanford about making an official visit. I'm looking at an official visit to Iowa State in early December, and possibly an early visit to Stanford as well."

Pipho, who has been to two games this fall at the University of Iowa, is also planning to check out the Northwestern/Minnesota game this coming Saturday.

"I want to check out a game at Minnesota, and this coming weekend looks to be the best change for me to get up there. Minnesota has also been starting to show me some serious recruiting interest lately, so I want to see what they have to offer. That's my only game I'll most likely see the rest of the fall."
