Pipho prepares to set visits shortly

Laporte City, Iowa, three-star ranked offensive line prospect Matt Pipho (6-foot-7, 255 pounds) has finished his senior football season, and Pipho will now focus on his senior basketball season.

“We got knocked out of the playoffs a few weeks back," he said. “Now I'll be focusing on my senior season in basketball. We start with team practices next week, and I'll also get my schedule for the year next week as well."

Pipho talked about his latest recruiting news.

"Everything for now is about the same. I would say that the latest school that has started to show some recruiting interest has been Oklahoma. The Oklahoma coaches have started to make weekly calls to me. As far as official visits are concerned, I'll need to check out my basketball schedule next week, then I'll sit down with my parents and figure out how we'll get these visits in. It's going to be hard from a scheduling standpoint, but I would like to get all 5 official visits in if it's possible."

Pipho has a pretty good idea of who will get official visits from him.

"I'm pretty sure that I'll take official visits to all four schools that have offered me. Miami (Fla.), Stanford, Iowa State and Oregon have all offered and I'm hoping to get visits set with all four schools. If I can I'd also take a fifth and final visit if I can fit it in."
