Pinnix impressed by visit
Newark (N.J.) Malcolm X Shabazz athlete Amir Pinnix took his first official visit this past weekend and enjoyed the experience.
"I had a good time, we got to spend a lot of time with the coaches and players which was cool," said the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder. "They're recruiting me as an athlete so I'd play either defensive back or running back. I don't have a preference really."

Pinnix has Indiana set for next weekend (Dec. 13) and is also interested in Minnesota and Iowa. He has offers from all four of his favorites.
"There were a bunch of Jersey guys on hand so that was nice," he said. "I'm not worried after this visit about Rutgers being competitive. They'll be fine with this staff."
Pinnix doesn't have a leader.
