Picture perfect decision

When he was on the Akron campus this week for an unofficial visit, Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly receiver Vincent Hill and his father were taking pictures of the campus, trying to make sure they liked what they saw. By the time they were done, they found it to be picture perfect.
"I committed to Akron," Hill, a three-star prospect that is ranked as the No. 11 player in Maryland by Rivals.com, said. "We went down there on Tuesday early to check out the school. My father wanted to see what it was like and check out the academics.

"He had some good talks with the coaches, and he really liked what he heard. I had already had a great feeling about Akron, because that's the coaches that I had the best relationship with. My dad just wanted to make sure they were going to treat me right and take care of me when I was there."
And with the questions answered, Hill got the blessing to go ahead and become a Zip."
It's a decision, he's very happy about.
"I can definitely spend four or five years with these coaches," Hill, who is 5-foot-10 and 174 pounds, said. "I don't see any other receivers on their depth chart that concerns me too much, but they didn't sugar coat things and tell me that I'm going to get playing time right away. They told me if I take care of things then I should have a good shot at coming in and being a big player in their offense."
Hill also had offers from Cincinnati, Toledo, UConn, Temple, Virginia and Kent. He is ranked as a 5.5 on the Rivals Rating Scale and has been timed at 4.47 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He was recruited by Akron assistant Aaron Alford.
"I had a great time talking to coach J.D. Brookhart, coach Reno (director of football operations Reno Ferri), and coach Alford is great," Hill said. "They talked to me a lot about academics. I want to major in psychology, and they have a program that ranks really high in that department, and academics are really important to me.
"I'm sold on the decision, and I'm sold on them. Before I left, I went and bought some hats, shirts and shorts. I'm really excited about the decision."
