Pickett is wowing as a senior

Three-star athlete Justus Pickett out of Charlotte (N.C.) Ardrey Kell has blown up in his senior season as a major prospect. Rivals.com caught up with Pickett's coach to find out more on the emerging prospect.
"He's rushed for 1,500-yards and has over 500-yards receiving," Ardrey Kell head coach Adam Hastings said. "I wasn't here last year, so it's hard to compare his previous seasons.

"One thing he does a good job of is catching the ball out of the backfield. We go to him as a receiver a lot."
There's more to Pickett than his play.
"He's just a leader. He is one of the greatest kids," he said. "Whoever gets him is getting a heck of a steal and he's the kind of kid, whoever doesn't get him or doesn't go after him they are going to be kicking themselves."
On the recruiting front, Pickett is seeing his recruiting rise.
"The truth is every school has come in and looked at him."
At this time, Pickett holds offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Duke, East Carolina, Illinois, Maryland, South Carolina, Stanford, Wake Forest and West Virginia.
According to Hastings, another prospect is emerging as a senior.
"We've got a linebacker, 6-foot-1, 205-pounder in David Jackson," he said. "This is his first year here, he was at a private school last year that didn't have football.
"He's doing well and getting some I-AA interest. He could be a mid-major, Conference USA guy. He's one of those sleeper guys a bit. So far he's gotten interest from NC Central, Carson-Newman and Elon. They all liked his film and he does good things."
