Pickens has a leader

Chino (Calif.) Don Lugo athlete A.J. Pickens took his first official visit over a week ago to Arizona State. Although he still plans to take three more visits, the Sun Devils are in a good position right now.
Pickens, 5-11, 165 pounds checked out the Sun Devils a week ago when they took on Washington and came home very impressed with the program.

"I would say they're my leader, they're my top school right now," Pickens said. "I really liked everything about the visit but the things that stood out the most were just how well I got along with the players and coaches.
"Everyone treated me like I was already part of the team. The coaches were great and I really like their style of play and how aggressive the team is. I can definitely see myself fitting in very well there.
"I love the stadium and the fan support is very good. I liked the city of Tempe itself a lot and they have great facilities. The locker room, weight room, all that stuff, I really liked a lot.
"As good as the visit was, I'm not close to making a commitment right now. I still have trips with Washington, Oregon State and Fresno State but I don't remember any of the dates right now. I think the visit to Washington is sometime in December but like I said, I'm just not sure.
"After I'm done with my visits, I'll sit down with my family and decide where the best place for me is but I'm not ready to do that right now."
