Pickens excited about latest offer

After picking up an early offer from Washington, Chino (Calif.) Don Lugo athlete A.J. Pickens landed his second offer from another Pac 10 school earlier this week.
Pickens, 5-11, 165 pounds is a talented two way player who could play receiver or cornerback in college. Most schools like him for receiver although a few schools like him as an athlete.

After his initial offer from the Huskies, things have picked up quite a bit for Pickens.
“Arizona State just offered me,” Pickens said. “I got the offer letter in the mail yesterday and was totally shocked and surprised. They said they had just watched my film and decided to offer and I’m definitely going to check out ASU this summer on an unofficial visit.
“I’ve heard a lot of good things about ASU and my god brother Rodney Cox, plays there and he really likes it a lot. I was already considering ASU, they have always been in my top five but now with the offer, I’m even more excited about them.
“I also got a verbal from Arizona and they’re recruiting me as an athlete. They came by my school this week and when I check out ASU, I’m going to take a visit to Arizona as well. Oregon State also came by and I’m still hearing a lot from Fresno State.
“My dad played at Fresno State and I like them a lot. I’m going to visit there this summer. I’m actually planning to take a lot of unofficial visits. In addition to the two Arizona schools, I want to check out Washington, Oregon State and Fresno State.
“I don’t have a leader but if I had to name a top five, it would be Washington, Fresno State, Cal, ASU and USC and that’s in no order. I’m in no hurry to commit anywhere right now and I still plan to take all my official visits during the season before I make a commitment anywhere.”
