Phillips considers two for official visits

Three-star offensive guard Andrew Phillips out of Potomac (Md.) Georgetown Prep is beginning to consider official visits a little more. The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder is still waiting to see who offers, but did mention which schools he'll definitely go to.
"I'll most likely be going to North Carolina and Maryland for sure and then maybe Duke and Syracuse depending on who offers," he said. "I've chosen those schools because they've been there from the beginning with me and they are programs I really like. I know a lot about them. Definitely I could see North Carolina and Maryland in my final decision."

The No. 15 player in Maryland has been unable to visit any colleges unofficially due to the fact he has his games on Saturday afternoons.
This season has been a good one for Georgetown Prep so far.
"It's going well as we're 3-1 now and lost to the No. 1 team in the state in overtime," he said. "We fought our hearts out and played hard. I think we were one or two plays away from winning the game. It was heartbreaking to lose, but great to be a part of the game."
The week before Phillips helped Georgetown Prep to a 21-14 victory over Good Counsel.
"That was a big victory for us since we haven't done well against them in the last couple years," he said. "It was great to finally come out on top. I feel this season I could be doing a lot more out there on the field and improve on some things. I'm satisfied with how I've been doing, but I'm trying to push myself to be better every week."
