Phillips adds another offer

Waller, Texas quarterback Jeremy Phillips has options and they're increasing by the day.
Some of those options are scholarship offers which have risen from one to two. Phillips, the 6-foot-4, 188-pound high school signal caller, also has options for positions.

"I went over to Rice, that went really well, and they've offered now," Phillips said. "They offered at the junior day and I've already gotten an offer from Duke. I haven't gotten up to see the Duke campus yet, but my dad and I are probably going to go up there this summer."
Northwestern, Colorado and Texas A&M are also sending Phillips mail. He says if he had to name a leader, that would be the Aggies.
"I guess you could say A&M because of the atmosphere of the football games – I like them quite a bit," Phillips said. "They've already got a quarterback committed. I like Rice too, the coaches are real cool."
Phillips says that quarterback isn't the only spot he's being looked at for.
"Duke is recruiting me to gain a little weight and play safety or outside linebacker," Phillips said. "Rice is recruiting me as an athlete. I just want to do whatever I can to play. If I get my throwing to be more consistent, I could be a pretty good quarterback and I've played that my whole life."
Aside from a trip to Duke, Phillips says that he's also planning a trip to Northwestern possibly in the next few weeks.
