Philadelphia DE enjoyed Maryland trip

Philadelphia (Pa.) Northeast junior defensive end Deion Barnes visited Michigan not too long ago, picking up an offer from the Wolverines in the process.
Though that was big news for the 6-foot-5, 220-pound athletic lineman, Barnes didn't slow down.

He made a trip to Maryland last week and had a great time checking out everything that the Terrapins have to offer. They had already offered him a scholarship so Barnes was able to just relax and take everything in.
"I just came back from Maryland last week," he said. "I was there for their spring game and I was surprised at how big it was. I didn't expect the facilities for the football team to be so big. I didn't really get to see the academic side of things but the football complex was nice."
Barnes has now visited every school that has offered him except Virginia. That means he has been to Michigan, Penn State, Pitt and South Carolina as well.
On Saturday Barnes set out for Penn State to attend the NIKE event that will be in town on Sunday.
"I'm trying to see if I can visit some more schools before summertime but I don't know what I'll be able to do," he added.
Though Barnes already knows quite a bit about the schools recruiting him he doesn't plan on making a decision any time soon. He said he will take at least some of his official visits before he thinks about doing that.
