Pettway keeping options open

Nashville (Ark.) three-star athlete La'Michael Pettway has welcomed several scholarship offers over the last few months and is gearing up for a busy summer.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound standout has already had a chance to check out several options on his list with a spring tour which included several SEC stops.

"This spring I did a lot on our last break and I toured the SEC," Pettway said. "I went to LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, back to Alabama, and that was one of the times I went to Arkansas."
This summer he hopes to make a few more.
"I want to get back to LSU and I want to go up to Ohio State," Pettway said.
Pettway, who is being recruited mainly as a wide receiver, does not know exactly where he will camp this summer and he is in the process of getting his schedule together.
He did grow up a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, and he admits Alabama along with the likes of LSU, Auburn, and Ole Miss are up there on his list. However, at this point in the process he is keeping his options open, and he is not ready to name any leaders.
"No sir, I'm pretty open," Pettway said.
He also does not have any plans on when and how he plans to narrow his list at this point, but he does know what he is looking for in a future program.
"Who will make me better as a person and as a student-athlete and of course my after college life," Pettway said.
For now, he is concerned more with building relationships with the college coaches and checking out college campuses as much as he can. He is also working towards making his senior season a special one.
"Right now I'm just getting ready for spring practice," Pettway said. "I think I'm going to be a two-position guy. I'll return some punts and kicks and receiver and safety."
