Pettway grabs SEC offer

Nashville (Ark.) three-star athlete La'Michael Pettway continues to see his stock climb as the recruiting process begins to heat up.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound standout was already receiving interest from the likes of Arkansas and Nebraska, and has recently added attention from Alabama, Texas Tech, Auburn, Oklahoma State, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, Arizona, and USC.

On Friday, he received word of a scholarship offer from Ole Miss. The news was definitely welcome.
"Another offer to add on to is always exciting," Pettway said.
Pettway talked to head coach Hugh Freeze, defensive coordinator Dave Wommack, and tight ends coach Maurice Harris on Friday. They were able to talk and get to know each other, but they did not discuss where exactly Pettway fit into the schemes at Ole Miss.
"We didn't really get too deep into it," Pettway said.
For now, Pettway is busy with Nashville's basketball season, and did not mention any college visits coming up on his schedule. However, he did mention a few coaches were planning to attend a few basketball games.
"Alabama's coach Napier, Ole Miss, and Arkansas coaches Lunney and Smith," Pettway said.
As for early favorites on the recruiting front, right now, Pettway is keeping his options open.
"They're just about all in there together as of right now," Pettway said.
