Pettigrew keeping open mind

New Orleans (La.) St. Augustine 2016 tight end Jamal Pettigrew stands out at 6-foot-5 and 225-pounds, and college coaches are already interested in the long armed athlete.
Offers have already come from Louisville, Nebraska, and Tulane, and he is checking out his options with a few camp stops already this summer.

"I've been to Alabama for their three-day camp and I went to Mississippi State," Pettigrew said. "That's it."
The Alabama camp proved to be a positive experience for Pettigrew.
"It was good. I enjoyed the experience with coach Bobby and coach Burns. They really treated me well up there."
Mississippi State also left a strong impression.
"It was a nice experience too," Pettigrew said. "Coach Knox, he really treated me well too and toured me around the campus and the facilities."
Before the end of summer and the start of the 2014 football season, Pettigrew plans to attend a few more camps.
"I'm going to the Auburn camp July 19th and I'm going to go to LSU too for the three day camp," Pettigrew said.
At this early point in the recruiting process, he is not ready to claim any leaders and he is keeping an open mind.
"I don't have any favorites," Pettigrew said.
Pettigrew was named to the Top Underclassmen Performers list at the Hattiesburg Rivals Camp Series stop and earned a spot on the Top WR/TEs list from the Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge.
