Peterson on board with Pac-12 offer

Cedric Peterson could play either wide receiver or cornerback and that has made the 2015 prospect from Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde a popular prospect.
The 6-foot-2, 164-pound recruit just landed his first offer from Colorado after assistant coach Andy LaRussa recently visited the school.

Colorado wants Peterson to play defensive back and he's all for it, excited about his first offer.
"He stopped by the school," Peterson said. "He came by and just talked to me about it and he said they offered me a scholarship and they really want me to come out there to play defense.
"I need some time to learn about them. They want me to come out there to see the campus and get a feel and to learn more about them. I was really excited."
The Buffaloes are the first offer for Peterson but at least two other Pac-12 programs have reached out recently. Offers might not be coming just yet but at least the Rancho Verde standout is getting involved with other teams.
"I was at ASU with my quarterback and one of my linemen out there," Peterson said.
"I talked to the coaches and they seemed pretty interested in me. I've also talked to USC and that's pretty much it so far."
Peterson is one of a few top 2015 prospects at Rancho Verde. Others include quarterback Sheriron Jones and offensive lineman Tevita Halalilo.
