Position: Running Back
Size and Speed: Peterson is 6-foot-2 and 205-pounds. He has been clocked at 4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Statistics: Peterson carried the ball 246 carries for 2,051 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Honors: Peterson was named to the Class 4A All-State first team following the 2002 campaign.
Favorite Schools: Texas A&M has played host to Peterson several times for games in the past. While other schools like Colorado, LSU, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas are in the hunt too.
Skinny: Peterson is arguably the top running backs in the Lone Star state for the Class of 2004. And that is a fact schools across the region are noting.
“Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, TCU and LSU have offered me scholarships,” Peterson said. “I’ve been hearing quite a bit from Georgia, LSU and Colorado too. I like Texas and Texas A&M a lot, but I don’t have a favorite school right now, though. I want to keep my options open.”
Peterson did visit College Station for the Texas A&M junior day at the end of February.
“I had a good time. I got to talk to the coaches and meet them. They told me what they had to offer me from their program.”
Peterson doesn’t plan to rush into a decision.
“I think I’ll probably take some visits and then try and make a decision. I don’t want to just pick a school and be done.”
