Peters is a junior to watch

Garry Peters is a player to watch from the Peach State in the Class of 2010. Peters, 6- 1 and 180 pounds, is from Conyers (Ga.) Heritage High School. He plays quarterback and defensive back and is one of the top two way players in Georgia.
"I play all the time both ways," Peters said. "I play cornerback and quarterback and I know I will play either corner or receiver in college. I just want to get on the field.

"As a wide receiver I have good speed and have good hands. I can also jump (34 inch vertical).
"Defensively I like to be on island by myself. I rely on my speed. Playing offense lets me anticipate better on defense."
Although it's still early in the recruiting process Peters did get his first scholarship offer. And it's a big one from a school in the SEC.
"South Carolina was the first to offer and they like me as a cornerback. I have already taken a visit there once. I am going there this weekend when they play LSU.
"Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Georgia Tech are also recruiting me pretty hard. Right now my tp six would be Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia, Notre Dame, and USC. I'm pretty open.
"The number one thing for me is play time and then academics. I don't care how far from home I go. The school environment will play a factor too. I have good grades so that shouldn't be an issue. My parents and coaches don't play when it comes to academics."
In addition to seeing South Carolina, Peters has also visited Florida (twice) and Georgia Tech.
"I was planning on going to Georgia this past weekend but we had a family emergency."
Heritage is 2-4 on the season and they play Madison County this weekend.
