Perry still solid to Miami, but looking

Four-star defensive tackle Chris Perry commitment to Miami back in June. The Keller (Texas) Fossil Ridge prospect has since announced he has opened up his commitment and will be taking official visits at least to Nebraska and Oklahoma in November.
"Those are the only officials I've scheduled at the moment and I'm working on a trip to Miami," he said. "I've still given Miami my word and told them I'm committed. Unless something really grabs me on another visit I probably will still be headed there. I just want to take the trips to look around and make sure I won't say what if I would have gone somewhere else.

"I just want to go to these schools and see the program, meet with the coaches and spend the day there. I want to see how they compete and how the program is run."
The 6-foot-3, 319-pounder is still working on an official visit to Florida.
"I did text message the coaches at Florida after their game on Saturday," he said. "They haven't gotten back in touch with me, but I do like them and more than likely will take a trip there too."
On the season, Perry has helped his team to a 5-1 start.
"The season is going good," he stated. "I think we'll go as far as we can. Nobody can beat us except us, I honestly believe that. We can only beat ourselves.
"I feel like I've done ok, but I haven't gotten a sack yet. The defensive ends on our team have nine each. I don't know what the problem is. I am still happy with the season and I want to keep stepping it up."
