Perry picks Vols

Schools like Georgia Tech and Kentucky were involved with Reginald Perry, but for over a year, Tennessee had been high on his list.

He got to the UAB game in Knoxville and that is when he knew he was ready to be a Vol. The 6-foot-5, 245 pound defensive end out of Fairfield (Ala.) made his decision that day.

"I have visited Tennessee around six times and it just feels at home," said Perry. "I made my decision when I was there for the UAB game, then I told coach Jeremy Pruitt of my decision when I was on my official visit for the Vanderbilt game."

The coaching staff and atmosphere had a lot to do with Perry's decision.

"The vibe and the fans at Tennessee are amazing. It is fun up there and the coaching staff is great.

"Coach Sherrer is the coach I am closest with and we talk a lot. He is like another father to me.

"I am excited about going to Tennessee and I cannot wait to get there."
