Perry makes decision after visit

Normally after an official visit, a prospect doesn't commit seconds later to an entirely different program than the one he visited. That actually ended up happening with La Marque, Texas wide receiver Jared Perry after returning from Utah.
Perry, who had been favoring Missouri for some time, decided that even though he enjoyed his visit to Utah, he would make a pledge to the Tigers.

"It came down to the fact that I wanted to be in the Big 12," Perry said about his decision. "So, I got home and called up the coaches at Missouri and just did it. It was everything about them."
"I loved the coaches, the players are real cool, the campus is nice, and they're offense is throwing the ball around a lot. They're definitely a team on the rise."
While the Tigers have secured his decision for now, Perry admits that his previously scheduled visits to Kansas and TCU are not completely out of the question.
"I'm still trying to make those trips," Perry said about his January trips. "I'm a soft verbal right now. I'd say there is a slight chance that I may still go somewhere else, but I'm very satisfied with my decision."
Perry says that when he phone the Missouri coaches, he was welcomed by some very happy people.
"They were real, real happy about it," Perry said. "They said that it made their day."
