Perry has Aggies on top

Amite, La. running back Kendrick Perry was a prospect who burst onto the recruiting scene late in the summer, but has certainly made a splash since he made his emergence.
“I recently got an offer from Indiana, that is my fifth major one,” Perry said. “I already had offers from Texas A&M, Tulane, Southern Miss and South Carolina. I have gotten a lot of calls over the past two weeks.

USC called the first day they were allowed to call and that kind of surprised me a little bit,” Perry said. “Then they called again last week and they told me that they want me to come visit. Ole Miss, Northwestern, Indiana, Texas A&M and Tulane all also called.”
Perry fits the bill of the jumbo-athlete perfectly, but wants to stay at running back in college. The 6-foot-2, 216-pound Perry runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds.
“Right now I would say the No. 1 school on my list is Texas A&M,” Perry said. “They have offered and have been on me from the beginning and I like their program a lot. I’m also looking at USC, LSU and Florida real hard too.”
As a junior Perry rushed for just over 800 yards and 11 touchdowns despite missing six weeks with a badly sprained ankle. So far this season he has rushed for 300 yards and four touchdowns in his first two games.
“I was supposed to be going to the Tulane game this weekend, but it is looking like that game has been cancelled because of the hurricane,” Perry said. “I went to the LSU-Oregon State game and that game was crazy. It is probably the best game I have ever seen.”
