Perrilloux makes it official

There was a lot of speculation and rumors centering on quarterback Ryan Perrilloux at the recently completed EA SPORTS Elite 11. Upon returning home to Louisiana and talking with his family Sunday night and Monday morning, the Louisiana standout has decided to make it official.
"I am committed to Texas," Perrilloux revealed Monday.

"I wanted to commit and get it out at the EA SPORTS Elite 11 but at the same time I wanted to really sit down with my mom and make sure of it before I did that.
"I actually committed to Coach Davis (UT quarterbacks coach) on Sunday when we were at Carl's Jr. getting some food before we went to the airport.
"I just wanted to check with my family and make sure of everything before we made it public."
Perrilloux stood out all week long at the EA SPORTS Elite 11 with his strong arm on the field and likable personality off it.
He certainly made no secret about his liking for Texas, but at the same time held off committing despite the pressure and ribbing his was getting from some of his fellow quarterbacks.
Even though he is now calling himself a Longhorn commitment, Perrilloux still plans on seeing everything that is out there.
"I am still going to take all five of my official trips," Perrilloux said.
"I am very solid with Texas at this point though, I like everything about them - the coaches, the fans, the quarterback situation there - everything is really great.
"It's just good to get all this over with, I must have got like 50 phone calls in the last two days from everybody trying to see if I had committed."
Perrilloux says he'll likely visit UT, Florida, Florida State, Miami and LSU. He threw for 2,404 yard and 26 touchdowns while rushing for 1,274 yards and 21 scores as a junior.
