Perine holds one offer

Mobile (Ala.) Davidson defensive end Denzell Perine hasn't focused on his recruitment thus far, but that is starting to change.
"I will probably be taking an official visit to Florida International and Western Kentucky," Perine said. "A few other schools are still calling like Memphis, La. Tech, and Middle Tennessee. A couple more as well. I am still waiting for the coaching staff to get settled at Louisiana-Lafayette."

At this point, only one of the interested schools has extended an offer.
"Florida International is my only offer," Perine said. "When I got that I was excited and happy. It is good place. They have a nice coaching staff."
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defensive end has yet to set up any official visit dates. When he does step on college campuses, he is looking for a place that makes him feel comfortable.
"I just want to see the environment and the coaching staff," Perine said.
Prior to hitting the road and focusing more on his recruitment, Perine gets a chance to compete in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game.
"It is exciting," Perine said. "I just like the competition."
Perine claims a 2.5 GPA and made a 19 on the ACT.
