MIAMI - The Georgia Bulldogs dipped into South Florida last season and signed some top talent and after receiving a commitment from Miami (Fla.) Killian offensive guard Kevin Perez over the summer they don't look to buck that trend soon.
"So far I have been playing well personally," Perez said. "I have been learning a lot and improved quite a bit. Our team is not as good as it was last year. Right now we are very young and a lot of guys are not motivated. We need to improve a lot as a team or it could be a long year for us."
The 6-foot-3, 273-pound Perez attended the NIKE camp in Miami in April where he ran the 40-yard dash in 5.66 seconds, the shuttle in 4.69 seconds, posted a 21-inch vertical jump and did 23 reps on the bench press.

"It has been exciting to see Georgia doing so well this year," Perez said. "It gives me the shivers to think about the fact that I will be out there next year. I am always talking to coach Callaway and asking him what I need to work on. He always tells me what I do right first and then gives me constructive criticism."
Perez is ranked as the No. 23 offensive guard in the nation and the No. 51 player in the state of Florida by Rivals.com.
