Pentello having solid start

Westerville (Ohio) South quarterback/safety Rocco Pentello has helped his team to a 3-0 start by guiding an offense that is averaging 35 points a game. While he's causing plenty of damage on offense, he's also making some big plays on defense.
"I'm going both ways, and I'm doing well," Pentello, who is 6-foot and 188 pounds, said.

"I'm getting some tackles and some big hits. I'm playing well all the way around. This week, I had 160 yards rushing and 140 yards passing and a few big plays on defense."
It's just a typical night for Pentello.
When it comes to recruiting, Pentello has scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Akron, Marshall and Toledo and he just picked up an offer from Air Force.
"It's good to be able to talk to the coaches now that the dead period is over," Pentello said. "I've talked to Toledo, Ohio State, West Virginia, Marshall, Ball State, Akron, Cincinnati and Air Force."
Pentello made it clear he'd love to get a new offer from either Ohio State or West Virginia, but especially Ohio State.
"They're just keeping in touch with me," Pentello said.
"I don't know where exactly I stand with them. They're just staying in touch. I would love to get an offer from them. They looked great against Texas. I watched it.
"Troy Smith looked awesome. He's grown up. He looked good in the pocket and was more patient and waited for his routes to open up. He's a lot better."
