Quarterback Steve Breaston (6'2 170 4.4) from Pittsburgh Woodland Hills (PA) is a standout athlete. He passed for over 600 yards last season and rushed for over 800. Breaston also picked off two passes on the other side of the ball. Some schools are recruiting him as an "athlete," which may not be exactly what Breaston wants to hear.
"I went to Northwestern's passing camp," Breaston said. "And I visited Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State this summer. But I'm not looking at all those schools anymore. I'm looking at Northwestern, Notre Dame, Pitt, and Penn State. They all offered me. I like Northwestern best for the simple fact they're recruiting me as a quarterback. The other ones are talking some about wide receiver or defensive back." But Breaston said there is a long way to go in this battle. He said he is not close to a decision.
