Pennsylvania ATH Looking For Offers

Carl Farrell, a 6-foot, 187-pound athlete from Uniontown, Pennsylvania is being recruited to play either cornerback or free safety in college. Last season, he played on both sides of the ball as a wideout and free safety. This season, he will continue to play those positions but will spend most of his time at quarterback. Clearly, Farrell is one of the more versatile players in the state.
Farrell has yet to receive any scholarship offers, which he speculates is because of his low SAT score. Farrell, who has a 2.5 GPA, has taken the SAT a “couple of times” and his high score was a “seven-something”. Farrell plans to take the test again this year and lists Michigan, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia among his top choices.

“I went to West Virginia’s camp a little while ago and did well,” he said. “I benched 280 pounds and ran a 4.6 in the 40. I haven’t squatted in awhile, but two months ago I squatted 330 pounds.”
Farrell plans to make a commitment during the next few months, probably right in the middle of football season. The three-season athlete, who also plays basketball and runs track, plans to play baseball during the spring of his senior year.
“I want to get everything in.” He said of his senior season.
Farrell, who has been playing football since second grade explained, “I’m just trying to get to college and get out of here [Uniontown]…. it’s my dream to play Division One football. I’m just being patient and waiting for things to come.”
