Pennsylvania ATH down to three

Two star cornerback Chris Gorham from Pottstown, Pa. is still garnering attention from several schools, but said he has basically narrowed his choices to three schools. The 6-foot-0, 175-pound prospect has already set up dates for official visits and wants to make an early decision.
Gorham opened up the month of September by receiving calls from Virginia, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Duke, and Minnesota, but said it is down to a three-team race. Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, and Virginia are now the only schools he is considering. Why these three schools?

Georgia Tech: “I like the area and how the campus is set up. They are in the ACC, and Chan Gailey has NFL experience. They are a good program.”
Notre Dame: “It is just Notre Dame, and that speaks for itself. They had a good season last year and a new coach with new excitement.”
Virginia: “They are in the ACC, again, and coach Groh is great guy and also has NFL experience. They are nationally ranked, and good things happen there.”
A 4.0 student with a 910 on the SAT, Chris plans to major in Pre-Med, and this is another reason he has it narrowed to these schools. “They all have good academics,” he said. He has offers from all three, along with Duke and Toledo.
Chris has his official visit list set up for this fall. He will travel to Notre Dame (Oct. 17) to watch them play Michigan State, to Georgia Tech (Oct. 3) to see the Yellow Jackets take on NC State, and will visit Virginia on either the Sept. 26 or Oct. 10. He plans to finalize his plans this week.
Chris wants to take all of his visits early because he plans to make a decision in October or November. He camped at Virginia and Maryland over the summer, and also took unofficial visits to all three of his favorites.
In a 28-0 victory last weekend, Gorham showed why he is receiving attention from major D-I powers. He had four catches for 60 yards, eight rushes for 60 yards and a touchdown. He also added six tackles.
