Penn State offers Jersey lineman

The new coaching staff at Penn State has taken a very aggressive approach over the last week when it comes to recruiting. One of the newest recruits to pick up an offer from the new staff was offensive lineman Wendy Laurent from Princeton (Pa.) Hun School, who found out about his newest offer this afternoon.
"I got offered by Penn State today," said Laurent, who is 6-foot-4 and 285-pounds. "They have been talking to me for a little bit now."

Laurent found out about the offer from one of the new members of the coaching staff.
"The new offensive line coach, Coach McWhorter, told me," said Laurent. "He is a great guy. He is real excited about the team and helping the program."
Already holding offers from programs like Buffalo, Navy, Massachusetts, Richmond and Delaware, Laurent was clearly excited about his newest offer.
"I mean its Penn State," said Laurent. "They have a great history and the program is phenomenal. The offer is huge. I am real excited about it."
Laurent has previously taken visits to Richmond and Elon, and will take his next one to Penn State this weekend.
"I know a good deal about Penn State," said Laurent. "I've been going to their football summer camp since like eighth till tenth grade. I also have an ex-teammate that goes there now, Anthony Alosi."
Laurent has not had a chance to speak with Alosi recently, but plans to on his visit. He also does not have any further visits scheduled after Penn State.
