Penn State adds offensive help

The struggles of the Penn State offense have been no secret to the rest of the nation. However, the Nittany Lions might have taken on step forward in that department with their latest commitment.
"I committed to coach Johnson last night and just got off the phone with coach Paterno five minutes ago," said Washington (D.C.) Dunbar wide receiver James McDonald. "I felt it was time and my official visit to Penn State this past weekend really put them over the top."

McDonald was choosing between Kansas and Penn State, but could have waited on Notre Dame, another school that offered him.
"I decided it felt right to commit," he said. "Notre Dame is the unknown now and Penn State I feel comfortable with. The visit I took was during finals week so I got to see a realistic view of college life without all the partying. It's also close to home, around 3 1/2 hour driving average speed, so my family can see me play."
