Penn Hills receiver to follow Morelli

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Penn Hills is home to one of the top field generals in the country in Anthony Morelli, but a quarterback is only as good as his receivers. One of the players responsible for making him look good is Joe Prokopik. Will the two see playing time together at the next level?
Prokopik stands 6-foot-1, weighs 185 pounds, runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, and claims a 32-inch vertical leap. He has started since his sophomore season and was a second-team all-conference selection as a junior. As a senior he has caught 25 of Morelli’s passes for 500 yards and five touchdowns, and would love to continue this relationship in college.

“I am trying to play with Morelli,” he commented. “He has already committed to Pitt and we go to all the home games together. If I were to get an offer, I would be there.”
There may be only one thing keeping him from and offer, but he is in the process of taking care of that problem.
“They said they liked me, but they wanted to see some good film from this year,” he explained. “I just got some -- I had a couple of 100 yard games – and I haven’t gotten the film to them yet.”
In addition to the Panthers, Joe is also receiving serious interest from Syracuse and Miami (OH). He said all have talked about scholarships but none has offered so far.
Prokopik is an excellent student and boasts a 3.87 GPA and an 1,150 on the SAT. He plans to major in business law or some other type of law.
