Pelzer still working on getting back

Seattle (Wash.) O'Dea offensive guard Ed Pelzer said his rehab from a torn ACL continues to be on track. He also hopes his recruiting process does the same thing.
He had surgery the weekend before Thanksgiving and his process continues to be positive, but he said quite a few schools are waiting to see how he recovers before they step up an offer the 6-foot-2, 353-pound interior lineman.

"Most recently I've just been hearing mainly from the University of Washington," Pelzer said. "But my biggest goal now is to make an impact next year, to be all-state, to be better than I was last year. That's going to be hard because I'm coming back from this torn ACL injury."
Washington isn't alone in showing interest, though.
"My top one would be Washington," he said. "No. 2 would be Oregon State and three would be Washington State. I'd like to stay in the Pac-10 and on the West Coast. My mom went to the University of Washington. She's dropped a few hints."
When he does get some offers to consider, Pelzer said he's got a few things in mind that the perfect school must have.
"Good academics is the biggest thing," he said. "I'm also going to look at how many of their players graduate, good team chemistry, the bond between coach and player. Those are the main things."
