Pelzel adds offers

Rockdale (Texas) offensive lineman Josh Pelzel stands tall at 6-6, 315 pounds and college programs have been keeping a close eye on him for a couple of years now.
Three scholarship offers are already on the table from Rice, Baylor, and most recently Texas Tech. The likes of Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M have shown significant interest as well as several others.

The massive lineman has been a fixture on the frontlines for Rockdale the last few years, and has played up and down the line. College programs like his versatility and schools are recruiting him at a few spots on the offensive line.
"I don't think anyone has much of an idea right now because I moved around so much during my season here in Rockdale," Pelzel said. "For some schools I'm a tackle prospect, for some schools I'm a guard prospect. I can do both so it doesn't matter to me."
When it comes to junior days, Pelzel has already taken in one school and liked what he saw.
"I went to Baylor's," Pelzel said. "The day before their junior day they offered so I went there. It was pretty amazing. I like their school, I like the staff there."
What's next on the schedule?
"I'm still deciding," Pelzel said. "I have to get that down. I've been stalling a long time on that but pretty soon I'm going to have to pick. I haven't started that. Probably in the next week I'll know which ones I'm going to."
He currently holds junior day invitations from Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, and Houston to name a few. He thought about attending the Texas junior day this weekend but will not be able to make it.
It is still early in the process, but two schools have caught his attention at this point.
"Baylor and Texas Tech right now," Pelzel said. "I feel like they're close to home. That's for sure at least Baylor is. They're only about 15 minutes away. Both staffs at the places I get along will with both of them. Le'Raven Clark he's at Texas Tech and from Rockdale. That's about it. I just like the schools in general."
As for a decision, he plans to take his time for now, but he knows what he is looking for in a future program.
"Right now I'm just gathering the offers I want," Pelzel said. "One of the bigger things that will come into play will be my playing time at that school. How soon my chances are you know."
