Attention has already come from college coaches. Some are recruiting Pellerin at quarterback while others are talking about athlete. Pellerin is keeping an open mind, but he does have some definite feelings about what position he would like to play on the college level.
"I've played quarterback the majority of my life so that's what I know," Pellerin said. "I know it didn't help playing wideout my first two years of high school, so hopefully I'll improve my game and prove to them I'm a quarterback."
Pellerin threw for 1,917 yards with 22 touchdowns and ran for 786 yards and 21 touchdowns as a junior in 2013, and already holds scholarship offers from Louisiana Tech and Louisiana-Lafayette.
With two offers in hand, Pellerin is taking his time with the recruiting process, and he has recently seen the pace quicken.
"It's starting to pick up a little bit. I'm starting to hear from Penn State, Oklahoma State, and Oregon," Pellerin said. "That's a few schools (that) have been sending me mail and asking me to call them. Hopefully I can find some time to get around to them."
He does not have any visits scheduled at this time, but he does have a few ideas about where he would like to visit.
"I want to go to Oklahoma State's junior day," Pellerin said. "I just want to travel the country and visit as many schools as possible."
