Bill Grimes is considering a handful of scholarship offers,
but still awaits the big one.
"Tennessee has been recruiting me pretty hard
lately," he said. "They called my coach the other day and said they were
highly interested after seeing my senior highlight tape. I'm really hoping
they offer. If they do, they would definitely be No. 1 on my list."
Grimes (6-2, 195, 4.5) has offers from Maryland, UAB,
Ohio and UConn, among others from smaller programs. He caught nine touchdown
passes and returned two kicks for scores as a senior, attracting interest
from some other programs.
"Vanderbilt is starting to recruit me a little more,
too," he said. "Coach (David) Turner is coming down to my house sometime
next week. I think we'll finalize my official visit. He seems to think
they're going to offer me soon. They had to discuss things with the rest of
the staff after watching my film."
He has scheduled official visits for Ohio (1/3) and
Jacksonville State (1/10).
"I'm keeping the other ones open until I see who all
is going to offer," Grimes said.
