Peach State RB picks the Wolfpack

North Carolina State picked up offensive firepower on Monday night. The Wolfpack landed a pledge from a 5-foot-10, 180-pound tailback out of the Peach State.
"I committed last night to NC State," Cartersville, Ga. all-purpose back Morgan Alexander said. "I talked to Coach McCollum and he was very excited. He was happy that I committed and I'm supposed to talk to Coach O'Brien today."

Alexander is coming off an official visit this past weekend to NC State. Was there something about the trip that sold him?
"I just felt like I was at home, like it was Cartersville," he said. "It was the town, the coaches, the players, everything. NC State felt like home.
"The coaching staff was really down to earth and I just like them. They tell you what is on their mind. They don't sugarcoat anything. They are down-to-earth."
Alexander touched more on his choice.
"The program is on the rise and they are getting ready to do some really good things. I want to be apart of that."
What position will he play?
"I'm an athlete, they are looking at running back or wide receiver," he said. "It doesn't matter to me.
"If I come in and work my behind out there, I could start as a true freshman."
The No. 44 all-purpose back gave a final thought on his decision.
"I felt like I made the right decision to go to NC State."
