Michael Heard says he's close to
making his college decision.
"Mississippi State is my No. 1 choice right now," he
said. "There really isn't a No. 2, either. I'm going down there for my official
visit this weekend, and if things go well, I'll probably commit while I'm there.
I've pretty much made up my mind, I just wanted to make sure with my official
visit before I do anything.
"From everything I've seen and heard, Mississippi State
is just a real good fit for me. I like the defense they run and my chance to get
in there and play early."
Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech and
Virginia have also been in the mix for Heard (6-4, 220, 4.4), a member of the
Rivals.com
Georgia Top 50 team.
