Peach State DE waiting on clearinghouse

Loganville, Ga., defensive end Clarence Donley has all the physical tools to play college football. So why is he still without his first scholarship offer?
“I have not been cleared by the clearinghouse yet and schools have told me that they probably won’t offer until that is taken care of,” Donley said. “I am getting a lot of interest from Georgia Southern, Auburn, Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee State though.”

So far Donley has attended camps at Auburn and Alabama this summer and will attend camp at Georgia on July 10.
“Right now my top schools are Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Vanderbilt and Georgia Southern,” Donley said. “I would have to say that Auburn is my favorite because they have been recruiting me the hardest and longest.”
Donley is 6-foot-5, 230 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds. He has a 280-pound bench and 600-pound squat. He also has a 26-inch vertical jump.
“I actually grew up a big Grambling fan,” Donley said. “That is where both of my parents went to school so they would always get the Grambling games every Saturday and we would watch them. I have just always been raised around them and they have always kind of been my team.”
Donley was a kid who barely played as a sophomore and had earned a starting position by his junior year. In his junior campaign he racked up 66 tackles and six sacks.
