Payton Twins To Vist Oregon State

There wasn't a team in California this past season that had a better pair of cornerbacks than Bryan and Jeremy Payton. The Covina (Calif.) South Hills duo committed prior to the season to UCLA and Arizona State respectively but will take an official visit to Oregon State in January.
"They're both still committed but Oregon State does interest them," Saul Payton, the twins father said. "They came in for a home visit and showed a video of how they play their defensive backs. They play a lot of press coverage and are a very physical team. The boys like that style of play and like the coaching staff there a lot so we set up a trip for (Jan. 16). Bryan is visiting UCLA the weekend before (Jan. 9) and is also thinking about visiting Kansas State but we haven't set a date yet.

"They're both still committed to UCLA and Arizona State but they just need to check out all their options. It's a business decision right now and that's how we're looking at it. We've told both schools about it and neither are happy obviously but it's just something we have to do."
South Hills won their second straight CIF Div VII Championship and Bryan was voted League Player of the Year and Jeremy, Offensive Player of the Year. The two shared League Def. Player of the Year and Bryan is also expected to battled Brigham Harwell out of Los Altos for Area Player of the Year honors. Both are likely sure fire All-State selections as well and lived up to their pre-season hype as two of the elite defensive backs in the West region.
