Paye is a running back to watch

Devon Paye is a running back you probably haven't heard a lot about, even if you're from the state of Maryland and follow high school football.
That said, the Columbia (Md.) Hammond running back is one to watch.

James Madison and now Temple have verbally offered the 6-foot, 180-pound back, impressed by his running ability and all-around skill set.
The Temple offer guarantees him, assuming nothing changes, that he has the opportunity to play FBS football. He was excited to find out about that, as you might expect.
"That (offer) came in Tuesday," Paye recalled. "I was pretty excited. I didn't even know what to say.
"I had been there for a one-day camp this past Sunday so I guess the offer was based on (how he performed at) that."
Paye said he's highly interested in Temple but wants to wait and see what else happens before he makes his decision.
"That (a timetable) just depends on who's interested and whether they offer," he noted.
Paye admits that his favorite program is Cal, but he's well aware that the Bears don't do a lot of recruiting in his neck of the woods.
In addition to Temple and JMU, Paye said Miami-OH has invited him to their camp, though he's not sure if he will be able to make that.
Last fall Paye carried the ball 203 times for 1,500 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns.
