Paulsen getting closer

One of the top players out West on both sides of the ball is West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade athlete Logan Paulsen. Paulsen has been leaning solidly to one local school and could decide any time.
Paulsen, 6-4, 220 pounds excels at both tight end and defensive end and is getting looks on both sides of the ball. He looked very good at the NorCal Nike Camp and also was impressive at USC’s overnight camp working out with the tight ends.

As you might imagine, Paulsen’s phone has been ringing quite a bit today.
“Yeah, I had to write the schools down to make sure I didn’t forget anyone,” Paulsen said. “I got calls from Stanford, Syracuse, Colorado, Arizona, Oregon, San Diego State, Boise State and Washington. UCLA hasn’t called yet but I actually just talked to them recently so we’re good there.”
Speaking of the Bruins, the word on the street has UCLA a solid leader for Paulsen.
“Yeah, they’re my leader right now over Stanford and Duke,” Paulsen added. “I’m going to the game this Saturday against Oklahoma State and hopefully they play well. I’ve been thinking about committing early. Part of me wants to get it out of the way so I can focus on our season but at the same time, I don’t want to rush anything either. I’m just going to see how things play out and when I’m ready to make my decision, I’ll go ahead and do it.”
