Pattersons visit makes him think

Warrensville Heights, Ohio defensive tackle David Patterson now has something to compare his October official visit to Miami with. He took his second official visit this past weekend.
"I was totally surprised I'll tell you that," said the 6-foot-3, 260-pounder of his official visit to Boston College this past weekend. "The visit was really organized and they did a great job even though there were a bunch of us there at the same time.

"I also liked the atmosphere and the way the players treated us like we were part of the team already. The players were really cool."
Can the Eagles compare with Miami or with some of the other big-time programs -- Michigan, Ohio State, Florida and Tennessee -- that he's considering.
"They're not on the level of Miami or the others yet, but I think I could play right away there and a bunch of us were defensive players on our trips. We talked about how we could make that defense really tough if we all committed.
"Ohio State and Miami are still on top for me, but I also know that if I am going to work so hard at football and all, I also want to get a good degree. Football can end in a flash and BC offers a great education."
Patterson was hosted by defensive tackle Doug Goodwin and knew almost every player at BC on an official visit.
"It was a really good group of guys and we had a lot of fun," he said. "I don't think I'll have a better visit since there won't be as many players. At Miami it was just me and Kyle Wright and I can't imagine there will be 12 others at my future visits."
Patterson is set to visit Ohio State this upcoming weekend for their huge game against Michigan and had a Dec. 13 date with Florida. He'll set up Tennessee soon as well.
"I can't wait for this weekend's game," he said. "It's the biggest game of the year in the Big Ten."
