Patterson sets announement date

Long Beach Poly (Calif.) wide out Travon Patterson has set his announcement date and said three schools remain for his signature. The receiver is planning to announce his choice in two weeks on the L.A Times High School Spotlight show.
Patterson, 5-9, 160 pounds said his final schools are Arizona, Oregon and USC with two schools in the lead.

"I'm still leaning to USC but I like Oregon a lot too," Patterson said. "I'll announce on Fox Sports in two weeks and I'm still thinking about what I'm going to do. One of the main factors for me will b early playing time and that's why Oregon has made up a lot of ground. I know I have a much better chance to play early at Oregon than at SC."
USC offered Patterson a few months back and most believed it was only a matter of time before he announced for the Trojans. At one point, the receiver said he would announce during the CaliFlorida Bowl but then backed out saying he would wait until Signing Day so he could have his whole family with him at the time of the announcement.
"That was important to me, to have my family there," Patterson said. "They have done a lot for me so I want them to be a part of it. They'll be with me when I do it and honestly, I'm still sorting things out. When USC offered, that was pretty much it for me, I knew I would be going there for sure. Now, I'm not as sure, it's pretty close but I have a couple of weeks to decide and hopefully I won't have any regrets when I make my announcement."
