Patterson getting around the SEC

Petal (Miss.) Rivals250 to Watch 2015 offensive guard Javon Patterson has been busy this fall.
Not only is he working at offensive tackle for Petal High School as the Panthers work their way through a playoff run, but he has also been busy taking college visits.

"My first visit of the season I went to Auburn/Mississippi State," Patterson said. "Then after that I went to Alabama versus Ole Miss. Then I went to two Ole Miss games and Alabama last weekend. Now, I'm going to Ole Miss this weekend."
After watching the eagle fly and the fans go wild, it is safe to say Auburn left a positive impression.
"It was a great time," Patterson said. "It was the first time I've ever been down there. They have a great tradition. They're on a role right now and playing some great football. They responded to adversity in that game and they're just playing with fire."
His two visits to Alabama also caught his attention.
"All SEC schools are a great atmosphere, but you know Alabama is just a different story," Patterson said. "I went to Ole Miss versus Alabama and it was up there, but then I went to the Alabama/LSU and it was just big time. It was a big time rivalry, big time atmosphere."
Then there were the stops at Ole Miss.
"It's a great place," Patterson said. "The Grove, the tailgating they have. I have some, I call them my family members up there because we're friends, and I go up there and hang out with them before games and stuff. It's just a great experience."
He does not have any visits scheduled but he would like to take trips to Mississippi State and LSU, and he likes what he has seen from the SEC. However, he is not naming favorites, and he is currently taking his time with the recruiting process.
"I'm just enjoying the process," Patterson said. "I'm just enjoying what the schools have and going to visit the places."
Patterson currently holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Southern Miss.
