Patrick enjoys Bama visit

Five-star running back Jacques Patrick of Orlando (Fla.) Timber Creek was back at Florida State, fresh off a visit to Alabama - a visit he said went better than he expected. Patrick is on the tail-end of a two-stop visit between his two favorite schools and said he was in Tuscaloosa to learn what Alabama was all about.
"I got a good feel for the place," said Patrick, who stands at 6-foot-1, 224 pounds. "You can't lie for three days, so I got a good feel for Lane Kiffin, and Nick Saban sat me down for an hour and talked about his plan for me, showing me the running back situation and their plan for me. It's a great opportunity.

"I was quite surprised by how well it went. It was better than I expected, I would say."
Patrick has been to Florida State numerous times and is very familiar with the coaching staff, players and other recruits, including Seminoles commit Derwin James, whom Patrick was seen with throughout the camp.
"It wasn't really any different from other (Florida State) visits," Patrick said.
Patrick said he plans on going home to discuss the recent visits with his mother. He said it's possible his Alabama visit could put the Tide in a more favorable light, but said he's not sure who his overall leader is at the moment.
He'll visit one more school - Florida - for Friday Night Lights before heading home.
The class of 2015 Patrick is the No. 2 running back in the country and is ranked No. 18 overall. He'll make his announcement Oct. 27.
