Patilla has goal in mind

Three star linebacker Quintin Patilla, who committed to Michigan in late June, has a goal in mind for his first season in Ann Arbor.
"The Michigan coaches told me I can probably play some next season if I put some weight on," Patilla said. "That's my goal, play as a freshman. I'll probably start out on special teams."

The 6-foot-2 and 193-pound Patilla, out of Flint (Mich.) Carman-Ainsworth, had a fine senior season. He made 89 tackles including seven sacks from his outside linebacker position.
Patilla also played fullback and rushed for 483 yards on just 74 carries. He scored 11 times.
Patilla has been a frequent visitor to the 'Big House.'
"I've been to every Michigan home game," Patilla said. "My official visit will be sometime in January."
Patilla also had scholarship offers from Indiana, Central Michigan, Bowling Green, and Northern Illinois when he committed to the Wolverines.
"I've liked Michigan ever since I was little," Patilla said. "Michigan has always been my favorite team."
Patilla is the No. 22 outside linebacker prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 6 prospect in the state of Michigan.
