Pass Rusher Near Commitment
Miami (Fla.) Jackson sack machine Elvis Dumervil almost has his commitment date figured out.
“I’m leaving for the Florida-California all-star game on December 27th,” said the 6-foot-1, 240-pounder who had 29 sacks this season. “When I get back I’ll take a visit to Miami and maybe end it there. It doesn’t matter if it’s official or unofficial.”

Before then, Dumervil hopes to take at least a couple of trips. He was scheduled to visit Oklahoma on Nov. 30, but had to cancel because he’s taking the SAT.
“I still think I want to visit them, but they haven’t offered yet,” he said. “I’m also thinking of visits to Auburn and Syracuse – they’ve both offered. Miami is my favorite though.”
