Pass rusher Dixson makes decision

“I told the coaches that I’m committed,” Garland, Texas defensive lineman Dale Dixson explained.
Dixson said he has committed to the University of Georgia. He made his official visit to the Athens campus last weekend. He had also visited LSU and had other scholarship offers from Notre Dame, Texas A&M and Oklahoma among others.

But the 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive end and defensive tackle said the Bulldogs were the team for him.
“I felt something inside when I was there. Something told me it was the right place for me. I liked the coaches and stuff. But it wasn’t any one thing. It was everything.”
Dixson said he is still in the process of telling other coaches that were recruiting him about his decision. He is expecting another home visit from Georgia later this week.
He said he expects to make no other official visits.
Dixson said he was an all-area selection as a senior. He has the frame, athleticism and quickness to develop into an excellent pass rusher on the college level.
